The meeting will focus on the sectors of agro-industry, renewable energies, digital goods and services. After a first Economic and Trade Mission to Southeast Asia, which last March brought together more than 520 entrepreneurs and from more than 20 countries in the French-speaking world, the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) is organizing a second Economic and Trade Mission to Central Africa (MEAC) in collaboration with the authorities of Gabon and Rwanda. It will be led successively by Geoffroi Montpetit, Administrator of the OIF, from July 6 to 8, 2022 in Libreville (Gabon) and by Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of La Francophonie, from July 11 to 13, 2022, in Kigali (Rwanda). With the participation of around 250 local companies and more than 110 companies and economic players from around thirty French-speaking countries, the MEAC offers the opportunity to develop business contacts, find new partners and negotiate contracts while by benefiting from increased visibility with the business community in Central Africa. This mission will also be an opportunity to strengthen networks between companies and economic entities from Africa, North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean, explains la Francophonie in a press release received this Monday at APA. This meeting also offers the opportunity to better understand the business environment, the specificities and the investment challenges in Gabon and Rwanda through field visits to local companies and exchanges of experiences and sharing of perspectives. during economic forums, highlighting the specificities and challenges of the three targeted sectors. Designed with the aim of intensifying economic and commercial relations between the 88 States, member governments and observers of the OIF, this mission aims to provide businesses throughout the French-speaking world with support for sustainable growth. It will also make it possible to enhance their economic, technological and financial potential in Central Africa and beyond, while capitalizing on the privileged links and comparative advantages of sharing a common language.
