The opposition mourns the death of 13 Venezuelan migrants by accident in Nicaragua

The Venezuelan opposition group led by Juan Guaidó lamented this Thursday the death of 13 Venezuelan citizens in an accident that occurred on Wednesday in Nicaragua, where a bus in which they were traveling fell into a precipice, according to the Police of the Central American country.

Guaidó expressed, through his Twitter account Twitterthat the death of “Venezuelan migrants in a traffic accident (…) mourns” Venezuela.

He blamed the government of Nicolás Maduro for having “originated a migratory tragedy that translates into distance and suffering.”

“It hurts us, but it also commits us to fight for the return of our people,” he added.

In the same social network, deputy Olivia Lozano assured that it is “yet another tragedy that mourns the homes of those who have been forced to flee the brutal dictatorship of Maduro.”

“It is increasingly urgent to overcome disagreements and strengthen unity to decisively confront the most atrocious regime in Latin American history,” he said.

For his part, the opponent David Smolansky said he was “speechless”, while sending his “deepest condolences to all” the relatives of the victims.

The accident, in which a Nicaraguan and two unidentified people also died, occurred on Wednesday night on a winding slope known as La Cucamonga, located in the department (province) of Estelí, 170 kilometers north of Managua, they confirmed. The authorities.

Another 47 people, who the Nicaraguan Police did not identify, were injured and are receiving care at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, in the city of Estelí.
