Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in Chalkida who met with citizens and at this time, he is speaking as part of his visit to the region.
“A year ago, May 6, I was here before the elections. I am here today to say a big thank you. This responsibility is heavy, to implement our program and to support the local communities” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis, starting his speech in Chalkida.
The prime minister spoke regarding the projects being done in the area, such as the “reference project” being done in the market. “It’s just a small example of the interventions that are taking place all over Greece.”
Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his satisfaction with tourism in North Evia during the Easter days. “I promised that we will stand by Northern Evia following the fires,” said the prime minister.
“Let’s make politics for the citizens. We should ask ourselves if we want a political dialogue with insults or if we want to talk regarding the real problems and demands of the European elections”, the prime minister stressed.
“What will happen in the European Parliament following the elections is of great importance for the future of all of us… As Greek MEPs we must play an essential role” he added.
“I am proud because the Greece of 2024 has nothing to do with the Greece of 2019. From a black sheep we have become a country that is heard in Europe… ND knows and can claim what we can secure from Europe… You also see that the parties of the opposition want to short Mitsotakis in order to cause political turmoil and to question the political legitimacy we got in the elections.” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“The message that will come out of the ballot box is that ND is powerful, a protagonist in the political scene. The European elections are an opportunity to take stock and what we will do for the next few years. And we have achieved a lot in these months.”
