The Palestinian News Agency reported that “President Mahmoud Abbas briefed the King of Bahrain on the latest Palestinian developments and developments, the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, and the need to quickly stop the war of genocide.”
The Palestinian President stressed “the importance of accelerating the introduction of humanitarian, relief and medical aid, preventing displacement, and stopping the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem,” stressing “the importance of the State of Palestine gaining full membership in the United Nations.”
The King of Bahrain reaffirmed “his country’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people until they achieve their full legitimate rights.” They also exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and stressed the continuation of coordination and consultation at all levels.
On Wednesday evening, the Palestinian President offered his condolences to the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, for the death of a number of his sons and grandchildren in an Israeli bombing in western Gaza.
The Israeli army continues to bomb various areas in the Gaza Strip for the 187th day in a row, with an increase in the death toll.
