The Montpellier Seclab announces “ a leading agreement with the Parisian rBlox. Both are experts in cybersecurity. The first, Seclab, is a specialist in the protection of critical and strategic infrastructures: understanding the infrastructures whose malfunction would have a crucial impact on the functioning of the Nation, those which are called operators of vital importance (OIV) such as telecommunications , energy, water, rail or defence, but also critical business systems and networks. The second, rBlox, works on infrastructures legacy : understand the computer systems, hardware and software, in place for a long time in a company and therefore “inherited” from the past, whose connectivity it secures.

“Today, given the distribution of connection resources, the operation of the Internet in France is ultra-centralised, which is why it is said that the Internet is not resilient, develops Xavier Facelina, founder and CEO of Seclab, pedagogue. However, rBlox technology makes it possible to make the Internet more “distributed”, especially at the level of companies or communities. For example, for an industrialist who has critical networks, everything is centralized and in the event of a problem, all of his industrial sites are affected. Seclab knows how to preserve systems and contain evil to a single site. But rBlox knows how to go anywhere to deploy distributed and non-centralized networks… This partnership allows us to integrate their protocol into our tools, and in the end, the added technologies of rBlox and Seclab make an internet network more resilient . »

Seclab raises €1 million and launches its internationalization in Europe

1,500 ETIs and 25,000 industrial SMEs

Until now, apart from OIVs, Seclab only targeted a portion of companies because the level of security of its offer (and therefore its cost) is high and imposes a certain number of constraints that only large groups can bear. Seclab and rBlox will now package a global offer that will address a wider target.

“This new partnership is a strong element for Seclab, which wishes to forge technical and commercial alliances with complementary players in the world of cybersecurity, says Xavier Facelina. rBlox benefits from a unique offer and value proposition that will allow us to offer even more possibilities to secure complex operations, particularly in terms of infrastructure. legacy and network interconnection… That lowers the access thresholds of our technologies to smaller companies. Today, Seclab can address 1,000 large companies in France. Working with rBlox expands our market to 1,500 ETIs and 25,000 industrial SMEs. We move from a niche to a larger market. »

Seclab employs 14 people, and will end its 2022-2023 financial year with a turnover of 2.1 million euros. Already equipped with a subsidiary in the United States, the Montpellier company is currently working with Brazil, Spain and Vietnam via a network of partners and resellers.
