Kaliningrad Avtotor plans to produce 70 thousand cars of 20 models of five brands by the end of 2023. This is reported by “Interfax” with reference to Valery Gorbunov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avtotor Holding LLC.
Earlier, the agency recalls, the company’s management announced plans to produce about 100,000 cars this year “with a positive forecast and development of events,” and about 70,000 cars under a pessimistic scenario.
Gorbunov specified that today Avtotor produces cars of 9 models of three brands, but by the end of the year it is expected to produce 20 models, perhaps 22. The number of brands will increase to five. According to Gorbunov, these are all Chinese companies.
According to him, among those released will be a BAIC electric car and an electric car of another brand.
Plans for next year are 100,000 cars. At the same time, the company notes difficulties with the delivery of components from China.
