The pioneers of social networking sites in Egypt circulated a video of a battle and a violent quarrel that erupted between students of a private international school in the Tagamoa area, east of Cairo, and developed into clashes between students and teachers.
The video revealed that a group of students exchanged beatings before a number of teachers intervened to try to end the clashes, and another battle erupted between them and the students, which prompted the school administration to call the police, who succeeded in breaking up the quarrel.
According to the investigations, it was found that a quarrel erupted between a number of high school students as a result of a race for priority to purchase from the school canteen, while the school administration identified the students involved and summoned them for investigation.
And sources in the Directorate of Education in Cairo Governorate announced that an investigation will be opened, with the knowledge of the educational administration, into the videos that were circulated, to determine the truth of what happened, and to take the necessary measures towards the incident.
She revealed that there is a penalty awaiting these students that may reach the classroom, for a period ranging from 3 to 15 days.
