This Monday night a tense chapter kept those who follow expectant children of the desertMega’s nocturnal, which tells the story of two brothers separated in the north of Chile during 1907. Today in particular the sentence of Pedro Ramírez (Gastón Salgado) was known.
The character was about to be executed after a murder that he decided not to confess until the last moment., giving way to a possible execution, by the law that governed at that time. However, an unexpected turn of events saved him from death.
And it is that when his life was about to end, it was reported that the defendant had received a presidential pardonwhich President Arturo Alessandri signed in fiction.
Pedro Ramírez pardoned
“High. Mr. Ramírez, I have the duty to notify you that he has been favored by a presidential pardon, signed this morning by his excellency, President Arturo Alessandri Palma. This has occurred considering that yesterday afternoon the confessed perpetrator of the murder of Mr. Luco was found“.
These would be the words that would finally save one of the protagonists of the story, which many claimed would not die, for now. But how did things change like this?
Moments later, in the preview of the next chapter it was revealed that Pedro was saved through an impostor who falsely confessed to the murder of Monsignor Luco.
It should be remembered that this crime was committed by Ramírez after a meeting with Luco, who was the priest in charge of the orphanage where he stayed as a child. In the scene, Pedro asks him to “never again” approach a child, an action that the priest ignored and ended up being stabbed.
