Today, Thursday, the price of gold in Egypt reached a record level, rising to about 1210 pounds per gram, a record level that it has not reached before, according to Nadi Najsi, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, formerly, to Masrawy.
According to what Najib said, in a live broadcast to Masrawy, today, the price of gold rose as a result of the rise in the price of the dollar, in addition to the increase in demand for gold as an investment as a safe haven.
Gold rose in Egypt since yesterday’s trading by about 120 pounds per gram, coinciding with the US Central Bank’s announcement of raising interest, to range by evening trading today at 1210 pounds, compared to 1090 pounds yesterday morning.
Najib expected that gold will continue to rise during the coming period to range between 1400 and 1500 pounds per gram in the event that the dollar price continues to increase, especially in the parallel market, or the price of crude globally increases.
Gold prices today
The price of 14 karat gold is 810 pounds per gram.
And the price of 18 karat gold was about 1010 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 karat gold was about 1210 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 karat gold reached 1381 pounds per gram.

The price of the gold pound was recorded at 9680 pounds, and the price may vary from one dealer to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound, and its price is linked to the prices of a gram of 21 karat.
The price of gold today globally
The global price of gold rose during trading today, Wednesday, to 1900 dollars, compared to 1870 dollars an ounce, according to global stock prices, during the day, before the US Federal Reserve announced the interest decision.
