Many community-focused events will make up QuakeCon 2022.
As part of the 2022 edition of QuakeCon, which will take place from August 18 to 20, fans of games from the American publisher Bethesda will be able to attend digital meetups on Discord, global broadcasts around updates on existing and upcoming titles, concours, tournaments, charity fundraisers (American Civil Liberties Union, Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS), interviews with developers or promotions of all kinds. Note that Starfield will be absent.
QuakeCon 2022 Schedule
- 7:00 p.m. – id Software’s Marty Stratton will kick off the main event with a welcome message
- 7:15 p.m. – Bringing Redfall to Life with Arkane Austin: A dive into the upcoming vampire shooter with new info, gameplay details and more
- 7:45 p.m. – A panel dedicated to The Elder Scrolls Online to talk about Tamriel
- 8:30 PM – The Elder Scrolls Online Veteran Dreadsail Reef Challenge: Watch Olibeau, the winner of ESO’s dungeon speedrun at QuakeCon 2021, tackle Veteran Dreadsail Reef with a few challenges along the way – plus donations for works QuakeCon Charity Funds, the more challenges there will be
- 9:15 PM – PC Building 101: Community and PR duo Devann and CVH tackle the task with NZXT to show how to build a PC from scratch
- 9:30 p.m. – QuakeCon Quiz-A-Thon: A fun and competitive Q&A with the Bethesda team
- 9:45pm – World of Cosplay: A panel with Bethesda UK Community Manager Ophelia and special guests to discuss their experiences, the creative process around making props and costumes, and tips and tricks for budding cosplayers
- 10:30 PM – Fallout 76: Learn about the new Expeditions feature, The Pitt, and more with members of the development team
- 11pm – Fallout 4 Interactive Charity Run: The community team will attempt to run from the Sanctuary to the glowing sea. Spectator donations to QuakeCon-supported charities via Tiltify will spawn various items and enemies that will help or hinder progress
The QuakeCon 2022 of Bethesda will be international this summer. Local broadcasts are thus planned for North America, Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg), Germany, Brazil, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Australia, the Middle East and Turkey. Fans will be able to enjoy interactive sessions with quizzes, gameplay for Redfall, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76 as well as Ghostwire: Tokyo and Quake, recipes inspired by multiple licenses, PC build guides and even the legendary Dirty contest Keyboard.
An eSports competition for Quake Champions at QuakeCon 2022
The Quake Pro League will end with the Quake Pro League 2022 World Championship, from August 18 to 20, at the same time as QuakeCon 2022. The latter will be broadcast from the PGL studio in Bucharest, Romania. 13 Quake Pro League players and 11 qualifiers will face off in a double-elimination selection for the prestigious title of World Champion.
