After the confession of the alleged perpetrator of the murder, the Spanish Guardia Civil found the body of Khawla EZ, who died in the abandoned church of Santo Domingo in Alcala la Real, between Jaén and Granada (southern Spain).
Despite acknowledging the crime, the 22-year-old Dominican-born alleged killer refused to tell authorities where he hid the body, according to Spanish media. The Stenographer.
Sexual assault and murder
Of Spanish father and Moroccan mother, Khawla was found naked with obvious signs of strangulation. After delaying her return home, it was Khawla’s mother who contacted the Spanish authorities to report the girl’s disappearance, shortly before Nazzaryn, her alleged killer, called to confess to the crime. On Wednesday morning, the girl’s body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Jaén for an autopsy.
According to the Spanish media Channel On, the alleged murderer is already detained in the provincial prison by order of the trial judge and instruction of Alcala la Real. He is charged with murder and sexual assault without the possibility of bail.
So far, investigators have been able to establish that there was no romantic relationship between the minor and the detainee, even though they knew each other. Therefore, according to the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia, the case will not be considered a case of gender violence. On the other hand, the judge authorized the transfer of the body to Morocco after having received the approval of the medical examiner and with a ban on cremation.
