The “Republican People” in Qena organizes a symposium to raise awareness of the harms of overpopulation and the importance of reproductive health

The secretariat of the Republican People’s Party in Qena governorate organized an expanded symposium, in implementation of the directives of the central secretariat, on the harms of population increase and the importance of reproductive health. Qena, and Dr. Mahmoud Omar Abdel Aziz Suleiman, Assistant Secretary for Organizational Affairs, and Marwa Abdel Rahim Hussein, Women’s Secretary of the Republican People’s Party in Qena, in the presence of Dr. Manal Wanis, head of the Family Planning Department at the Health Directorate in Qena, and Dr. Sahar, coordinator of the symposium in the village.

Marwa Abdel-Rahim Hussein, Women’s Secretary of the Republican People’s Party in Qena Governorate, reviewed the efforts of the party and the women’s secretariat in supporting and empowering women, as a series of medical convoys were organized by them to activate the presidential initiative “100 million health to support women’s health” and to detect noncommunicable diseases and direct cases that require more From medical procedures to the hospitals of the Ministry of Health to receive free treatment, then the “We are with you” initiative was launched to detect breast cancer and how to self-examination and early detection. A great challenge that we all must unite to face it in order to reap the fruits of development that the population increase devours.

For her part, Dr. Manal Wanis, head of the Family Planning Department at the Health Directorate in Qena, stressed the need to spread health awareness and learn about the reproductive health services provided by family health centers, stressing also the concern for women’s health in all aspects and the need to take care of every child born even after the end of the childbearing period. She explained that the state provides free family planning services in all family health units

“Wanis” indicated that there is a package of services provided by the Ministry of Health for family planning, including: general advice on family planning services and reproductive health, providing contraceptive methods and advice related to them, evaluation and treatment of cases of sexually transmitted diseases, early detection of cases most susceptible to tumors. Mammography, follow-up of cases with television x-rays, treatment of side complications that may result from the use of methods, raising community awareness of reproductive health issues and following up those who stopped using contraceptive methods through home visits carried out by rural pioneers, stressing that the Ministry of Health provides a variety of contraceptive methods Pregnancy for women at subsidized prices from the state or for free in mobile clinics and family planning units, asking women to take care of reproductive health and strive positively to confront the population increase that devours the fruits of development.
