The competitions concluded today, Tuesday, June 28, the fifth day of the Mediterranean Games “Oran 2022”, which witnessed the superiority of many representatives of Arab countries.
The city of Oran, Algeria, will host the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games from 25 June to 6 July.
About 3,390 athletes, representing 26 countries, will participate in the Mediterranean Games and compete in 24 sports, including 18 European countries, 5 African countries, and 3 Asian countries.
Football results at the 2022 Mediterranean Games
In the men’s competition, the Moroccan team defeated its Algerian counterpart with a double without a response, while the Italian team achieved a broad victory over Greece by four without a response.
Portugal beat Turkey 2-0, while Spain and France drew 1-1.

In the men’s competition, Egypt won a valuable victory over Serbia (35-28), while Tunisia defeated Slovenia (36-34), and Algeria drew with North Macedonia (24-24).

Tunisia defeated North Macedonia (3-2) in the men’s competition, and Algeria defeated Greece (3-0).
In the women’s competitions, Egypt defeated Tunisia (3-1), and Algeria lost (0-3) to Italy.

The Egyptian Karim Mahmoud defeated the Turkish Yanni Ariel, the Moroccan Yasmine Kabbaj defeated the Algerian Inas Ibo, while the Tunisian Mohamed Aziz fell to the Spaniard Alvaro Martin.

Egypt’s Omar Asr beat Spain’s Carlos Cuellar (4-1), while his compatriot Hana Gouda beat Slovenian Anna Tofant (4-0).
The Algerian Mehdi Boulosa beat the Libyan Habib Al-Ajaibi (4-0).
Badminton results at the 2022 Mediterranean Games
Egypt outperformed Greece in the men’s singles competition, while it was defeated by Portugal, Slovenia and Cyprus.
While Algeria defeated Cyprus and Kosovo in the men’s singles competitions, it was defeated by Turkey and Croatia.
In the women’s singles competitions, the Algerian players outperformed the competitions from Cyprus and Italy, while the Egyptian players lost to the Cyprus stars.
Boxing results at the 2022 Mediterranean Games
In the 50-kilogram weight category, the other Algerian Fatima Abdelkader beat Moroccan Wedad Bertal, and the Egyptian Yomna Eid beat Spain’s Maria Conde in the 54-kilogram weight category.
While the Egyptian lost to the Italian Giordana Sorrentino, and the Algerian Fathia Mansouri was defeated by the Turkish Bos Naz, in the 50 kg weight.
