The Río Negro Philharmonic performs for free at the Viedma Cultural Center

With the presence of Lucía Zicos as guest director, this Friday and Saturday from 7:00 p.m., the Río Negro Philharmonic Orchestra will perform with free admission, on a first-come, first-served basis at the Viedma Municipal Cultural Center.

The concert program begins with the work Absences, by the Argentine composer Claudia Montero, winner of 4 Grammy awards., composed in 2014; continuing with the Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra RV 484 by the Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi, with Ignacio Goya as soloist.

the musical evening will close with the monumental 4th. Symphony by Pyotr Tchaikovsky composed in one of the most difficult and emotionally torturous years in the life of the immortal Russian composer.

Lucia Zicos was the winner of the II National Opera Competition (San Juan – Argentina)later directing more than a dozen titles for the aforementioned company.

He also performed conducting opera at the head of the Dartington Festival Orchestra (England), at the Sofia Opera (Bulgaria) and at the “International Summer Opera Festival” (Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic). She served as Principal Director of the Symphonic Band of the City of Buenos Aires and Assistant Director of the Academic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón.

He conducted the musical direction of the album “Ausencias” winner of a Latin Grammy 2014 and the album “Mágica y Misteriosa” awarded in the category “Best Classical Music Album” at the 2018 Latin Grammys, both with music by Argentine composer Claudia Montero. In 2019 she was awarded by the Association of Music Critics of Argentina.
