In recent years, the robot vacuum cleaner became one of the main allies of men and women who lack time to sweep their house daily or are simply lazy to do so.

The revolutionary idea that a device does it without the need for human intervention positioned this type of technology at the top of the sales rankings of stores.

The truth is that over the years, the robot vacuum cleaner has been adding more and more utilities that facilitate its use, improve cleaning and de-stress users.

However, in the last hours it was announced that one of these devices took photos of a woman while she was in the bathroom and they ended up going viral on social networks.

At the same time, the intelligent machine portrayed the children who live in the same house. These images too leaked on platforms like Facebook and Discord, among others.

The disturbing information was released by the American magazine MIT Technology Reviewwhich belongs to the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

iRobotthe company that manufactures the product in question, came out to explain about the leaking of audiovisual material from one of the clients.

According to the company, the photos were taken in 2020 and belong to a group of workers who gave their consent to be photographed since it was a prototype that was not yet for sale.

“LSpecial development robots with hardware and software modifications that are not and never were present in iRobot consumer products to buy”, they reported in a statement.

In this sense, iRobot explained that the smart vacuum cleaners that are currently sold through the website and in stores do not record or take photos of people.

According to what was communicated by the firm, the viralization of the 15 photographs was the responsibility of AI scalesthe startup that was in charge of processing the information.
