The Spotify desktop app completes its transformation

Spotify completes the transformation of its desktop application, some parts of which had been visible for some time (this was the case for the personal library). The streaming service has confirmed today all these changes, which therefore concern the library, but also the audio player which now displays information regarding the song and the artist in a side panel on the right.

Fans will find in this panel the artist’s upcoming concert dates, merchandising, as well as the text transcript when listening to the podcast. The space dedicated to the library is similar to what we know in the mobile version of the app. Playlists are displayed as a list or in a grid, they can be pinned so that they remain permanently at the top of the window. And it is possible to reduce or enlarge the panel according to your needs.

All of this is going to be available in the next few days, the update is being rolled out.
