As the organizers note in their call, the reactionary change of the pension in France seems to be just the occasion to spill the lava that has been gathering for years. Macron wants to impose not only the pension law, but to promote all the demands of French capital and the European Union, while he does not hesitate to bypass even Parliament, respecting the “legitimacy” of bourgeois democracy with Article 49.3 which it has been in place since de Gaulle’s time and has been used dozens of times by most presidents and their governments.
The sensational struggle of the people in France has been going on for over a month now with daily demonstrations, general strikes, and sit-ins. Despite the violent repression and the hundreds of arrests, the people are determined not to back down.
