The Stardew Valley farm simulation cultivates its success: 20 million copies!

Stardew Valleythe stunning role-playing game with a farming simulation (unless it’s the other way around), has reached the mark of 20 million copies sold since its launch on PC in 2016. Two years later, the studio ConcernedApe put online a version adapted to our touch screens, to be downloaded from the App Store (4,99 €). It has been localized in French in 2019.

The game is also available on a large number of platforms, on Android of course, but also home consoles and the Switch (and Tesla too, I am told), but not the Mac ☹️. The threshold of 20 million was crossed in March, but the vast majority of sales come from the PC (13 million). Last September, Stardew Valley exceeded 15 million copies, so the positive trend is accelerating for the title.

Remember for all intents and purposes that in Stardew Valley, the player takes in hand the destiny of a family farm in decline. You have to recover the activity, revive the crops, manage the livestock, make gadgets… In short, there are many, many things to do in this really nice and addictive game where you don’t see the time passing!
