Jeju is hit by the coldest cold wave this winter, and the temperature drops further, so you need to take care of your health.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, heavy snow warnings are maintained in the mountains of Jeju and heavy snow warnings are maintained in the middle mountains of Jeju.

There may be places where it snows in Jeju until the morning of the 19th due to the influence of the cloud belt created by the temperature difference between cold air and warm sea surface in the West Sea.

Snowfall of 1 to 3 cm per hour will fall mainly in mountainous areas, and thunder and lightning accompanied by gusts of wind will blow in areas where snow cloud belts are strongly developed.

The expected snowfall is 1 to 5 cm along the coast of Jeju until the morning of the 19th, and 3 to 8 cm in areas other than the coast. More than 15 cm of snow is expected in many places, including mountainous areas.

The strong wind warning, which took effect as strong winds of 35 to 60 km per hour in Jeju, is expected to be lifted this evening.

As cold air flows in from the northwest, the temperature will be lower than today’s (18th) morning minimum temperature of minus 2 to 0 degrees and daytime maximum temperature of 3 to 5 degrees until the 20th.

As the temperature drops below freezing while the snow and rain that have fallen on Jeju have not dried, there are concerns about icy roads everywhere.

Even if there is not much snowfall and it is not controlled, there are icing sections all over the road, so you have to drive safely.
