Publika.az reports, this was stated by the director of the Bureau of Hydrometeorological Forecasts Gulshad Mammadova.

He noted that the height of the snow cover is currently 35 in Lerik, 32 in Altyağac, 24 in Khachmaz, 19 in Guba, Shamakhi, Khaltan, 17 in Goytepe, 16 in Gusar, 15 in Gakh, Yardimli, 14 in Shabran, Gobustan, 10 in Bilasuvar, Ismailli, 9 in Lankaran, Goychay. 8, Salyan, 7 in Dashkasan, 6 in Zardab, 5 in Goygol, 4 in Oguz, Jafarkhan, Gadabey, 3 in Agdara, 2 in Aghdam, 1 in Agsu, Gryz, Zagatala, Astara, Barda, 9 in Bina, and 7 in Baku.

The speed of the southeast wind increased to 20 m/s in Shabran. Foggy weather conditions were observed in Dashkasan, Goygol, Shamkir, Balakan, Gabala, Gakh, Sheki, Shamakhi, Griz, Lerik, visibility was limited to 50-100 meters.

According to G. Mammadova, the minimum air temperature was 5.3 degrees below the climatic norm in Baku, up to 1 degree of frost in Baku and the Absheron peninsula, 8-13 degrees of frost in Nakhchivan MR and mountainous regions, and up to 2 degrees of frost in Aran regions.

Rainfall is expected to stop gradually starting from the western regions of the country from the second half of the day on January 12. The air temperature will gradually rise by 4-6 degrees until the end of the week.
