the text goes to the Senate after the last debates in the confusion in the Assembly, and without discussion on the article pushing back the legal age

The motion of censure of the RN is rejected

Unsurprisingly, the motion of censure against the government tabled by the National Rally was not adopted, announced Yaël Braun-Pivet, the president of the National Assembly.

In total, 89 deputies voted for, that is to say the 88 deputies RN and Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, far from the 289 votes necessary to obtain an absolute majority.

This is how the session in the National Assembly on pension reform ends. The text is now expected in the Senate, on February 28 in committee, then on March 2 in the Hemicycle.

“The government will seize the Senate of the text that it initially presented, modified by the amendments voted”, announced the Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, at the end of the debates. Élisabeth Borne declared that the government would retain measures favorable to primary school teachers, the liberal professions, farmers, retirees in Mayotte, and “long careers”.

The culmination of two weeks of debates at best tense, at worst chaotic, Olivier Dussopt reserved his last words for the deputies of La France insoumise: “You insulted me for two weeks, no one cracked and we are here, in front of you, for the reform”, he launched, furious. The debates were interrupted very far from the famous article 7 on the postponement of the legal age to 64 years, because of the number of remaining amendments, mainly added by the “rebellious”, and the deadline set at midnight.
