Sponsorship collection operations for the next presidential election have been launched. The 206 candidates already identified have a little over two months to collect the signatures which give them the right to take part in the vote on February 25, 2024.
In this perspective, reports L’Observateur in its publication of the day, which questioned the executive director of the NGO 3D, Moundiaye Cissé, on this subject, they must place three dates prominently on their agenda.

Firstly, December 11: deadline for submitting sponsorship applications. On January 12, 2024, the candidates for candidacy will be determined. Holders of rejected records will be informed at that time. They will have 48 hours to make the requested fixes, if necessary.
And finally on January 20, 2024, everyone will know if their candidacy is selected for the presidential election next February or not, with the publication of the names of the candidates selected by the Constitutional Council. Those who fail will have 48 hours to challenge the “seven wise men”. In the event of a referral, they will rule without delay.
