A mysterious name attached to an unknown disease… A cocktail that did not fail to please the conspiracy circles on social networks. The starting point: the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland where a round table was held this Wednesday to “prepare for illness“.
On the networks, numerous publications accuse world leaders of organizing the next pandemic or of wanting to hide the harm of vaccines. Particularly from the president of the Les Patriotes party, Florian Philippot. He seized the subject he denounced.so revealing“.
“Disease X has been touted as ‘the future pandemic’ for several years by the WHO. Moreover, the boss of the WHO will be at this round table!, ‘Prepare’ means in Davosian language: raise fear, prepare ‘mRNA vaccines’ and the Passes that go with them! What are they up to? Several posts with the same accents follow one another. We can read in particular: “Mega scary news in the middle of the Davos forum where we announce a disease X (sic!) 20 times more deadly…” ; “Disease X: probably to hide the effects of the injections, I’m almost certain.” or “Little Reminder: A secret laboratory in the United Kingdom produces Covid variants and a vaccine against ‘disease X’.”
A theoretical illness to better prepare
But what is this famous pathology? It was added in 2018 by the WHO to thea list of diseases and pathogens priorities for research and development, alongside Covid-19, the Zika virus or even Ebola for example. A non-exhaustive list which “does not indicate the most likely causes of the next epidemic“, specifies the WHO.

This pathology is completely fictitious at the moment but the WHO is preparing for the possibility of its appearance. According to researchers, this very fatal disease for humans could be zoonotic (which is transmitted from animals to humans). In 2022, the World Health Organization estimated the number of unknown viruses at risk for humans between 631,000 and 827,000. And, among them, could be “disease X”.
This Wednesday’s round table brought together Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Brazilian Minister of Health Nisia Trindade Lima and the chairman of the board of directors of the AstraZeneca laboratory. They were discussing how to prepare for the possible spread of such a virus around the world.
