Mohamed Turki, director of the “My memories” program for the great artist Samir Sabry, confirmed that the late was always keen to meet the great artist Hassan Youssef, his wife, the retired artist Shams Al-Baroudi, the great artist Samira Ahmed, and his cousins, on an ongoing basis at Al-Jazira Club.
Turki said, in exclusive statements to the “Masrawy” website: “But what was said by the clever Mohamed Ashoub that the artist Hassan Youssef used to visit him daily at home, this is not true.
They only met in the club, and even Hassan Youssef denied this.” He added: “And it is also said that Hassan Youssef, who washed and shrouded the artist Samir Sabry, this is not true, I was the one who washed Samir Sabry, with two others from the (Sakana) company that She handled post-mortem affairs under the supervision of the Representative Professions Syndicate.
And I was the one who buried Samir Sabry myself.”
The great artist, Samir Sabry, passed away inside a major hotel in Cairo on Friday, May 20, after a struggle with illness at the age of 86, and he was buried in Al-Manara Cemetery in Alexandria.
It is mentioned that the great artist Samir Sabry presented unforgettable works during his artistic career, perhaps the most prominent of which are: (The Search for a Scandal, Half an Hour of Passport, Shenbo in the Trap, Brothers Enemies, My Father above the Tree, Great Fulfillment, Underwater Hell) and others.
