Miss Universe Vietnam Organization is upset because the name is violated
On his personal page, Mr. Bao Hoang, CEO of Unicorp, spoke out about copyright infringement of the Miss Universe Vietnam trademark.
Mr. Bao Hoang said his company has stopped using the Miss Universe Vietnam brand. This is done by the company with the aim of fully respecting the trademark ownership of Miss Universe and the new organization.

Mr. Bao Hoang also confirmed that Unicorp holds the copyright of the Miss Universe Vietnam trademark. He vowed to take action if any other individual or organization uses the Miss Universe Vietnam brand.
“I affirm our ownership of the brand and the Miss Universe Vietnam contest. Therefore, I represent Unicorp – Unimedia to speak out if any individual or organization is or intends to use the name Miss Universe Vietnam as an unprofessional action. We will strongly condemn and take action to protect our brand,” he emphasized.

Mr. Bao Hoang’s statement was made just a few hours after the Miss Universe Vietnam fanpage added “Miss Universe Vietnam” to the name.
For many years, Unicorp holds the copyright of the Miss Universe Vietnam contest and also holds the copyright to send contestants to the Miss Universe contest. However, recently, due to not reaching a general agreement, Unicorp announced the end of cooperation with Miss Universe organization.
