The federation also announced that the schedule of matches for the new season would be maintained, without resorting to a new lottery, provided that the winning team from the Cheba and Bizerte match would face the exempt club in each round, while keeping the division of clubs in the two groups as it is.
The new decision helped the clubs that were relegated last season to the second division, as the federation decided to hold a supplement match, bringing together the two teams of the sports club in Hammam Al-Anf and Al-Taraji Al-Zarji, with the victor of this confrontation playing with Najm Al-Metlawi, to determine the identity of the team that will play in the Premier League.
The winning team in the play-off will join the second group, bringing the number of clubs in the Premier League from 14 to 16, a plan that the Tunisian Federation found in order to overcome this crisis, which almost caused the postponement of the start of the 2022-2023 season.
