the two Red Bulls will start from the front row at the Japanese Grand Prix

April 6, 2024 – 09:52

As in the first three weekends of this year, the defending champion and three-time world champion Max Verstappen, the driver of Red Bull, was the fastest in the qualifying session of the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix on Saturday, so he will be able to start Sunday’s race from the front, wrote MTI.

The 26-year-old Dutch driver has started from pole position in the four races of the season so far without exception, and this is his 36th start in his career. Including the last race of the previous season, Verstappen can start from the first place for the fifth time in a row.

Next to Verstappen, his teammate, Mexican Sergio Pérez, will be able to start in Suzuka, while Lando Norris, the British driver of McLaren, can start the race from the third grid. Another McLaren driver, Oscar Piastri, who just celebrated his 23rd birthday on Saturday, finished sixth in qualifying.

The 53-lap Japanese Grand Prix starts at 7 a.m. Hungarian time on Sunday.
