Workers gathered in the Metallurgical Workers Union (UOM) They closed an agreement with the companies in the last few hours for a increase of 74.65% until December, plus a bonus of 60 thousand pesos.

According to El Cronista, the salary increase will be granted in six sections, namely:

• The first, in July, will be 20%.
• In August, 9%
• In September, 9%
• In October, 7%
• In November, 7%
• In December, 7%

Meanwhile, the bonus of 60 thousand pesos It will be paid in two installments, in August and Septemberrespectively.

The UOM and an agreement “tied” to inflation

In addition, the UOM agreed to a review clause that establishes that the increases for the last quarter of the year will be subject to review according to the evolution of inflation.

If the salary increases in October, November and December were lower than the consumer price index (CPI) of the previous month, the difference will be settled in the following month, explains El Cronista.

Meanwhile, if inflation slows down, the difference will be deducted from the next salary settlement, with an increase of less than the 7% originally agreed.
