The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a drug aimed at treating a new type of breast cancer called HER2-Low.
The treatment is for patients with advanced breast cancer that cannot be removed surgically or has spread to other parts of the body. In clinical trials, Inherto nearly doubled the amount of time a woman might live with cancer without making it worse. according to cnn
The trials also showed that it increased the overall survival rate, from regarding 17 months in the group that received the usual chemotherapy. to 24 months in the group that received new intravenous therapy.
The Food and Drug Administration says cancer patients are eligible for treatment if their cancer has spread outside the breast and they’ve already received regular chemotherapy.
She indicated that the price of one dose is 10 thousand dollars.
