The US suffered a series of shootings, many people died

A series of shootings occurred in Arkabutla, Tate County, Mississippi – USA, killing at least 6 people and injuring 1 person on February 17.

Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance said the shootings all happened in Arkabutla, including at a store located on Arkabutla Road. A man was shot dead in the store’s parking lot.

At the house on Arkabutla Dam Road, a woman was killed and her husband was injured, it is not clear whether he was shot or not. Police discovered two more bodies inside a house and two other bodies also on Arkabutla Dam Road.

At least six people were killed after a series of shootings in Tate County on February 17. Police arrested the suspect while he was in a car on Arkabutla Dam Road.

The Tate County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect has been identified as 52-year-old Richard Dale Crum. He is facing first-degree murder charges.

Authorities received a 911 call after the suspect entered the parking lot of a store in Arkabutla, shot into the vehicle next to him, killing the driver. Another person in the car was fortunately uninjured. The suspect then drove to his ex-wife’s house, shot her dead and attacked the victim’s fiancĂ©.

Tate County is located in northwestern Mississippi, about a 30-minute drive south of Memphis, Tennessee.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves tweeted that he had been notified of the shootings and confirmed a suspect was in custody.

“The suspect is still alive. At this time, we believe he acted alone. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) has been asked to assist in the investigation. Please pray for the victims and their families. theirs,” said Mr. Reeves.

According to initial information, the suspect appeared to “shoot his ex-wife and likely other family members”.

Police confiscated several handguns from the suspect’s vehicle. The identities of the victims have not been released. Police are investigating the suspect’s motive.
