The USA-Africa Leaders’ Summit, “a great opportunity” to strengthen relations between the two parties (Minister)

This meeting is also an opportunity for Morocco to highlight the excellent cooperation between the Kingdom and the United States under the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in several areas, particularly within the framework of the free -exchange between the two countries which has borne fruit, added the minister in a statement to the press, on the sidelines of this summit.

It is also for the Kingdom to highlight its successful African strategy desired and encouraged by HM the King, she said, stressing that Morocco is a major investor in Africa and is a hub for talent, for financing and innovations in Africa.

“This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate Morocco’s successes and to underline the country’s desire to capitalize on its achievements to attract more investors to the country but also to all of Africa,” the minister said. .

She emphasized, in this regard, the great potential of the Kingdom in several areas, “including agriculture, where Morocco has an important role to play for Africa, particularly with regard to fertilizers in this difficult time”.

The Minister also highlighted Morocco’s strengths in the sectors of energy transition, green energies, industry and logistics.

The Washington Summit is in line with the meetings “which will allow us to build this beautiful Africa which has a lot of talent and potential”, she concluded.

This conclave brings together representatives of nearly fifty countries, civil society and the private sector of the African continent, in addition to officials from the American administration and the African Union Commission.

The participants in this three-day meeting discuss several issues ranging from the Covid-19 pandemic to climate change, including the repercussions of the war in Ukraine, democracy, governance, security, trade, investment and the development of partnerships between African countries and the United States.
