The scientific societies of La Plata, Berisso and Ensenada informed their patients that starting next week the value of the professional practice bonus (BEP) will increase. Of the initial 1,000 pesos, it will start to cost 1,500 pesos.
The measure to raise the price of the bonus that generated controversy in the Region will be applied from Monday, January 16, according to the notifications received by different patients in the Region.
This bonus is charged to affiliates of different social works, it is clarified in the notification sent by different professionals who carry out the hierarchical medical clinical consultation service.
The bonus is paid in private external offices that are managed and coordinated by health professionals. It is not paid in sanatoriums, hospitals and private clinics. Neither in hospitals and public health centers.
The BEP arrived at the end of last September, after the elimination of the Office Operating Expense Module (GOC) that was terminated by the Provincial College of Physicians following a summons from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health.
According to information, 70 percent of the consultations with specialists from scientific societies are made by patients affiliated with IOMA.
