The Vienna negotiations are practically over, and the remaining issues can be resolved within a day or two

The head of the Russian negotiating delegation in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, considered that the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the “4+1” group had practically ended, and that the remaining issues could be resolved within a day or two.

“Now we are in the very final stage and we have practically finished (the negotiations),” Ulyanov said, in a statement to the Iranian news agency IRNA yesterday, adding: “As I said, there are several remaining issues that must be resolved and settled. These issues can be resolved and settled within 24 or 48 hours.”

On the effects of the current developments in Ukraine on the Vienna negotiations, he said: “The question has been asked to me repeatedly on this issue, but Iran and Ukraine are two separate issues within the framework of the international issues agenda.”

Abdullahian: The agreement depends on observing our red lines
In the same context, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said today that the West’s “urgency” to reach a nuclear agreement “does not mean not observing Iran’s red lines”, including economic guarantees.

“Our delegation will continue to work hard to reach a good final agreement,” Iranian media quoted Abdullahian as telling the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, in a telephone conversation.
