Vampire shooter Redfall was released in May 2023 and was one of the biggest failures for publisher Bethesda, Arkane Studios, and Microsoft’s games division in general.

The game received low ratings from critics and gamers alike, and even entered the Hall of Shame the Steam.

During a recent Starfield interview, Bethesda VP Pete Hines also touched on the Redfall situation.

He said the Arkane team, with support from other Bethesda divisions, is working to improve the vampiric shooter. First of all, their efforts are aimed at correcting the technical state of the game.

Pete Hines recalled that in the history of Bethesda there have already been similar embarrassments, for example with the PC version of The Elder Scrolls Online. And the release of Fallout 76 was an even bigger failure, but the developers did not give up and at present both games are significantly improved and enjoy great popularity.

Pete Hines is certain that even in ten years, Redfall will be a real game that will capture the interest of the public.

It’s worth noting that Pete Hines’ statements seem overly optimistic, but it’s commendable that the developer isn’t giving up and trying to correct its own mistakes.
