The Weeknd would like to change his name to Kanye West

Brian May confessed to being “very frustrated” by the death of Taylor Hawkins. The Foo Fighters drummer died on Friday March 25 at the age of 50, however his cause of death has not yet been revealed, and the Queen guitarist has admitted he is having a hard time accepting this sudden disappearance.

The entertainer, who was friends with Taylor, opened up about the tragic loss on SiriusXM, revealing he spoke to her shortly before his death.

“Taylor was very close to Queen, he came into the studio with us several times,” he confided. “I spoke to him often. I spoke to him a week before we lost him. We talk about a lot of things, about Dave (Grohl, editor’s note), about our lives, our joys, our frustrations, the Foo Fighters. ”

Taylor was a huge Queen fan, and the Foo Fighters regularly performed covers of the band during some of their shows. During their last show at the Lollapalooza festival in Argentina, Taylor covered “Somebody To Love” while Dave Grohl was on drums.

“We became friends right away because Taylor and Pat Smear were Queen’s biggest fans,” continued Brian May. “They knew more about us than we knew ourselves. We were shocked to realize how much they were fans of us.”

Of the late drummer, Brian added, “Taylor wasn’t even my generation. I see him as a boy, like I saw George Michael. Losing them is so frustrating. It makes you want to deal with death. “
