Al-Marsad newspaper: Talal Maddah’s wife revealed her reaction after he fell on the stage during his last concert in Abha, where she was watching the ceremony on television, and she learned of his death at a later time.
She said during an interview with her on the “From Zero” program that her late husband was suffering from shortness of breath when he traveled to Abha because of the high ground level there. Pointing out that he always suffered from this problem, except for the last flight, and when she spoke to him on the phone, he would tell her that he was fine to the point of his surprise because he did not suffer from shortness of breath and was taken to the hospital this time.
She explained that the last call between them was before he went on stage and he was fine. Indicating that she followed the party on TV, and after his appearance and greeting the audience, and then singing, he suddenly fell on the stage.
And she continued: I was like crazy and called the people with him without a response from any of them, which led to my feeling more anxiety, and after a while, his friend Khaled Munther replied to me and told me that he was fine and he was transferred to the hospital due to shortness of breath.
She pointed out that a large number of families flocked to their house and no one told her, then she learned of his death at a later time.
In the same context, Khaled Munther, a friend of Talal Maddah, said that the late artist, during the last concert, was manifest and psychologically comfortable and did not feel any problem, but what happened was God’s decree and destiny.
He pointed out that on the day of the party, the late artist greeted the audience, began singing, and then fell to the ground. Pointing out that he and a number of people took him to the hospital, and it turned out that he was dead.
He added: Two hours before his death, he told him that his father is buried in Jeddah, his uncle Ali Maddah is in Egypt, and his mother is in Mecca. Adding that his wish to be buried next to his mother.
