The fans of The Witcher can wait for another release in the franchise. As announced by Netflix last Friday followingnoon (10), the wizard’s saga will return to the screens in anime format. Named “The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep“, the animation was revealed with Geralt of Rivia as protagonist.

The news was published by the company itself through X (formerly Twitter) along with a first teaser regarding the production. Lasting 39 seconds, the preview shows the character wielding his silver sword with runes, but you can’t see what he’s actually regarding to face.

A longer version of the teaser was published by Netflix on its YouTube channel, showing some additional elements and characters other than Geralt. But, with less than 1 minute in length, not many details were revealed regarding what the story of the work will be like.

Fans of the game series that portray the wizard can rejoice in the fact that Doug Cockle will be in charge of providing his voice for the character. For those who don’t know, he has already done work voicing the wizard in the franchise’s games.

Check out the official synopsis released by Netflix:

Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, is hired to investigate a series of attacks on a coastal village and finds himself embroiled in a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. He must rely on friends—old and new—to solve the mystery before hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war.
