Ibrahim Adel Mostafa, a member of the Board of Directors of the Wrestling Federation, confirmed that Samar Hamza’s achievement of winning the silver medal in the World Championships held in Serbia is a pride for the entire Egyptian sport.
Ibrahim Adel said in televised statements that other games in Egypt need great media support, such as football, because it has distinctive talents.
He pointed out that Samar Hamza achieved a great achievement after becoming the first player in the history of Egyptian wrestling to reach the final, stressing that Samar made a great effort to reach this level.
He explained that Samar Hamza will face greater challenges after this global achievement, stressing that time is short before the Paris 2024 Olympics, especially that the Egyptians’ aspirations rose after this achievement.
He pointed out that the World Championships in Russia 2023 are the first qualifying stations for the Paris 2024 Olympics, stressing that the Wrestling Federation supported Samar Hamza after her retirement and was persuaded to retract this step.
