The presence of the Theatrical Workshop of Polyphony (Director: Athina Kallimani-Georgitsopoulou) was an exceptional success, at the dedication of the first day of “Momos”, last Friday, at the “Pantheon” Theater, in the context of the Panhellenic Satire Festival of Amateur Troupes, organized by the amateur form of Patras “Refene”, with a competitive nature.
The Theater Workshop, out of competition, presented the Aristophanic comedy “Ilion-Trojan War”, a work based on the comedy “Trojan War” from the “Zakynthian speeches” by Nikos Gousetis. It is an anti-war spree, a parody of war. A tongue-in-cheek satirical traditional theater genre, derived from the Zakynthos “Speeches”, which were written and performed in Zakynthos during the Venetian period (mid-17th century) by amateur actors, drawn from the ranks of the people.

In addition, the Organization’s Children’s Choir, conducted by Aretousa Nikolopoulou and Marina Mylonas on the piano, took part in the event held last Sunday at the Royal, by the Medical Association of Patras, for retired doctors, but also for the cutting of pie of the Association.
