There was a misjudgment on my part

A big uproar was caused by the movie “Friends and I Love”, which was shown a few months ago on the “Netflix” platform, and witnessed the participation of Mona Zaki and Iyad Nassar alongside a number of Lebanese artists.

At that time, everyone remained silent and did not talk about their position on the work, or respond to the crisis that it caused and the public’s anger at what was mentioned in the events, so that Jordanian Iyad Nassar came out and spoke for the first time.

In a television interview, Nassar talked about his role as an actor, and the need for him to bear the results of the work he presents, especially since he cannot tell the audience that they cannot understand the meaning of the work.

‘Responsibility cannot be evaded’

The artist cannot evade his responsibility towards his work, to talk about the crisis of “friends and dear ones” in particular, indicating that he saw something in the film.

Where the purpose of the work was to discuss the issue of mobile phones and their control in everyone’s lives, and at that time he did not see the negative things that the audience saw in the film.

He indicated that he is talking about the natural audience, not the cursing public, stressing that he respects their opinion strongly, and he had no choice but to benefit from these opinions.

“miscalculation”

Nassar stressed that the part that provoked the audience was not at the time of filming the work.

Nassar promised the audience that he would be more focused in his work, especially as he felt sad about what happened, and rejected the idea of demonizing the actors that some pursue, especially that what he does not accept on his children and children will not be accepted on the children of the rest of the audience.

And he sent his message at the end of his speech to the angry audience, saying, “Your right is me, I am sorry,” so that Iyad Nassar became the first to talk about the film and the audience’s reaction to it.
