In Nagorno-Karabakh on March 5, a shootout took place between Armenian and Azerbaijani security forces, there are dead and wounded. The incident is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
“This morning, at about 10:00, a sabotage group of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces took aim and fired at the duty car of the employees of the Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh,” reports “Armenpress”.
Three police officers (a colonel, a major and a lieutenant) were killed, and one more was wounded.
“We received operational information about the transportation of military equipment, ammunition and personnel from the Republic of Armenia to the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, along the Khankendi-Khalfali-Turshsu dirt road,” stated Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
According to him, during an “attempt to detain and check vehicles carrying out illegal military transportation”, the opposite side opened fire, there are dead and wounded on both sides. Later appeared information about the death of two Azerbaijani servicemen.
