On Friday (15.03.2024), the 52-year-old arrested man who stabbed a cook in the stomach of an ouzo restaurant in Thessaloniki, for a trivial reason, will be called to account in court on Friday (15.03.2024).
The 65-year-old cook who was attacked at the ouzorie in Menemeni, Thessaloniki, who was discharged from the hospital and spoke to the main bulletin of STAR. “I live by a miracle,” he says, pointing to his wounds.
“Here’s the knife. It’s three points in. I had Agios, probably!”, he declares in shock.
The victim of the attack described exactly how it all happened: “He says I want shorts, he says are shorts today? I insist, I told you at the beginning. It tells me it’s today? Yes, again. No, he says. He started cursing my mother, he started cursing the boss’s mother, that was coming out of his mouth, I say oops, you won’t curse my mother. I’m 65 years old, some respect, I see you’ve been drinking but stop I said. He didn’t stop, he grabs the fork and makes the fork like that, like those who go to fight.”
The cook manages to disarm him and grab the fork from his hands, but the 52-year-old man was holding a knife in his other hand.
“And he does one like that with all his soul. That is, as if he threw on dead meat. I have never seen such a person before. This image has stuck in my eyes. I can’t get her out. Whenever I see a knife, this is what comes to mind. I no longer eat with a knife, only with a spoon,” he adds.
The perpetrator disappeared after his act and remained missing for about ten days. He was arrested at noon on Tuesday and today Wednesday (13.03.24) he was taken to the investigator, where he requested and received a deadline to apologize on Friday.
According to his lawyer, the perpetrator is remorseful and is in a bad psychological state.
