They agree to support Xóchitl Gálvez

MEXICO CITY (EFE and El Universal).— The national leader of the National Action Party (PAN), Marko Cortés, revealed that he agreed with the five PAN governors to support Xóchitl Gálvez to win the June 2 election.

Interviewed during the presidential candidate’s visit to Michoacán, the leader of Acción Nacional announced that last Monday he held a private meeting in Mexico City with the governors Teresa Jiménez, of Aguascalientes; María Eugenia Campos, from Chihuahua; Mauricio Vila, from Yucatán; Mauricio Kuri, from Querétaro; and Diego Sinhué Rodríguez, from Guanajuato, so that they work in a coordinated manner so that his good work influences votes for Xóchitol Gálvez Ruiz.

“What we have agreed upon, perfectly respecting the law, in the five states governed by national action, Xóchitl Gálvez will win as President of the Republic,” he declared.

“My governors are going to continue working and giving results; It is their best letter of introduction, but as political leaders in their states, what we have asked them to do is to ask all our candidates for a linear vote for National Action,” he highlighted.

Marko Cortés fought for “good government” to be maintained in the states governed by the PAN.

“They are super well-evaluated governors,” he said. “And we are going to ask all our candidates that in all events, in all door knocks, in all their tours, in all rallies and interviews, they ask for an equal vote. The vote for Xóchitl Gálvez, the vote for our senators and deputies,” he stressed.

For her part, the opposition candidate yesterday promised to become a “mother” of nearly 250,000 children who, according to her calculations, have been orphaned by violence and Covid-19.

In a demonstration in Michoacán, a state that occupies the first places of violence, Xóchitl also denounced the murder of more than 13,000 children and adolescents during López Obrador’s six-year term (2018-2024).
