The governor, Julio Menchaca Salazar, and the Secretary of State Economic Development, Carlos Henkel Escorza, held a meeting with directors of the electronic commerce giant, Mercado Libre, in which they presented the logistical and competitive advantages that Hidalgo offers for its projects.
“In the government of Hidalgo we want to show the great attractions we have so that part of this financial commitment has an impact on our people and our economic environment. We are a state that can be trusted,” said the State Secretary of Economic Development.
Recently, Mercado Libre announced an investment of 2,450 million dollars for Mexico in 2024, which, among other points, will be used to continue growing its logistics operation in different parts of the country.
Finally, the company’s Director of Relations, Alehira Orozco, emphasized that “the Mercado Libre ecosystem transforms the lives of millions of people through the democratization of commerce and financial services,” distinguishing the work carried out by more than 12 thousand collaborators who are part of Mercado Libre México.
