The attacker was identified as Daniel Bittar, 42 years old, who kidnapped the girl from her school in Luziania, Brazil, on June 28. After being arrested, he confessed to having “pedophilic inclinations”.
Bittar kidnapped the minor with his girlfriend Gesielly Souza Vieira, 22, who put her in his car and put a chloroform-soaked cloth on her face while threatening her with a knife. After making the girl lose consciousness, they handcuffed her legs and put her inside the suitcase. From there they went to a remote area to discard her phone.
Fortunately, they were able to arrest Bittar thanks to a schoolmate of the victim calling the police after witnessing the kidnapping. The minor was found in the apartment with blows and burns, handcuffed to the bed. Furthermore, examinations carried out after she was rescued confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.
Kidnapping, abuse and pedophilia
Detective Joao Guilherme Medeiros informed the media that the victim told that “Bittar touched her private parts and they forced her to touch her genitals”. The attacker filmed the abuses committed and sent them to his girlfriend. Bittar confessed to him and said that he had considered “chemical castration”.
In the assailant’s apartment, police found electric shock devices, sex toys, pornographic material, and combustible, so it is suspected that he would have planned to burn the body of his victim.
According to the police investigation, the couple had spent three days searching the school for a victim before the alleged crime. “We have images of him putting the suitcase in the EcoSport since Monday the 26th,” explained Medeiros.

Bittar told officers it was his first crime, but police say there are indications he may have committed other crimes with the help of his girlfriend.
After the dissemination of the case, it was also learned that this man had been a volunteer at children’s hospitals and is the father of a girl. While Vieira is the mother of two children and appears on social networks as a Christian.
“Pedophiles disguise themselves as good people to get close to children. I am saying that they act pragmatically. We have come across several cases like this. That is why parents need to be very careful,” added Medeiros.
The couple faces charges of aggravated unlawful restraint, sexual abuse of a minor and torture. They may be sentenced for up to 30 years in prison.
