A 15-year-old girl was found dead today in her home in Buta Ranquil. The incident is being investigated by the prosecution as a femicide. The family suspects her ex-boyfriend, who had already threatened her.
It was the girl’s father who found her body, according to the story of the victim’s uncle, Eduardo Barros, in dialogue with RIO NEGRO RADIO.
“A friend of my nephew (brother of the victim) calls him to tell him that his grandfather’s tamarisk tree was burning, which is attached to an adobe house, near his home,” he began. “My nephew got up and went with his father to put out the fire, calling the fire department,” he added.
According to what the uncle said, since it was a farm area, the fire truck had difficulty entering, so the victim’s father went to look for a chainsaw at his house, where the teenager was sleeping.
“When he arrived he saw the lights off in the house and when he turned on the thermal light and found her dead,” said Barros.
The victim’s uncle targeted his nephew’s friend, since he would be the teenager’s ex-boyfriend. “It was something so thoughtful, he is a neighbor of ours, it is clear, he sells himself, he said that in the morning he was killing dogs,” he explained.
Barros maintained that they found a knife on the table, which could be the weapon used to commit the crime. Also that the suspect (the ex-partner) has already been located.
The investigation is being carried out by the Chos Malal prosecutor’s office.
This is the seventh femicide that has occurred so far in 2023 in Neuquénwhose victims were: Norma Morales, Luz Prieto, Cristina González, Karen Ibarra, Carolina Epullán and Gisela Fuentes.
