They found four bodies in the Tuy river that they presume come from Tejerías

In Miranda they carry out cleaning work for debris that has arrived.

Four bodies were found in the Tuy River in the last hours, which they presume were dragged by the water from Tejerías, after heavy rainfall that caused a landslide.

The information was confirmed by the governor of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez, during an interview with Unión Radio.

They were taken to the entity’s morgue to be identified.

“We are waiting for the security agencies to make the technical specifications, but everything indicates that since they have been found at the points where we are cleaning all the sediment that comes from Las Tejerías, we deduce that they come from there, in addition to the fact that in Miranda there are no reports of disappeared».

The regional president recalled that they have made available the Victorino Santaella Hospital located in Los Teques and the outpatient clinics that are on the route to care for those injured in the tragedy in Aragua.

Cleaning

Rodríguez also mentioned that they are carrying out cleaning work in different areas due to the debris that has arrived and thus in case of rains the surrounding communities are affected.

“We had to put a lot of machinery on one of the bridges that crosses the Tuy where a large part of the sediment that came from Tejerías was concentrated and that of course collapsed the river, not to the level of overflowing,” he stressed.

He indicated that the rains add up to 150 points in the affected area. “11 of the homes have total loss (…) we had four schools that were flooded, but there was no major impact, when it stopped raining the schools have returned to normal,” he assured.
