The Police are investigating the death of an 89-year-old man in confusing circumstances in his home in the Comercial neighborhood, in the southern area of ​​the city of Córdoba, while his wife was hospitalized with beatings and dehydration, according to police sources.

The case became known from a neighbor who, after not having contact with the couple for six days, decided to call the security force.

When on Wednesday around 7 p.m. the officers entered the house, located in Ischillín at 6200, they observed the man’s wife (77) in the patio with injuries to her legs.

Subsequently, service 107 diagnosed her with multiple trauma and dehydration, so she was transferred to the Aconcagua Clinic.

Husband’s death investigated

Investigators located the husband lying face down in a room of the house that is intended for storing tools. The body had bruises, although it could not yet be determined (the autopsy will do so) if it is due to the number of days he had been dead.

Prado Serapio’s sister, as he was officially identified, said that the man suffered from kidney failure.

For now, the investigations are trying to determine if the marriage was a victim of the wave of insecurity that is hitting the Capital or if it was a case of family violence.
