Already in the first days of January 2021, when the vaccine was made available to the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, there were reports of deaths after vaccination from Norway. One official suggested that a FAQ guide be created to reassure the elderly as “there is a high probability that death will occur in recently vaccinated elderly people”. The agency’s director at the time, Nicola Magrini, responded: “It still gives me a little anxiety and nervousness to read… so I’d recommend getting it flawless within the next 48-72 hours.”
Journalist Marianna Canè’s report revealed – we are writing January 15, 2021 – that “ill patients are among the untested populations”, as Pfizer also wrote in its own report. Yet they were given permission to vaccinate vulnerable people, even though they were aware that the effectiveness and above all the safety of the vaccine had not been verified. On January 18, 2021, the Italian regions sent alarming reports to Aifa regarding vaccine side effects.
Emilia-Romagna warned that 1,000 cases per 100,000 doses are reported, “on high reporting rate” and “relevant reporting data” speaking. What did the Medicines Agency do then? In his answer he said:
Such reports should be used for internal use only, we recommend that they not be made public”.
And what was to be done about the side effects associated with the Astrazeneca vaccine? With a single stroke of the pen, the data disappeared from the report.

“I would have expected a different attitude from Aifa, one that goes straight to the field to gather all the information about the health of Italians. Instead, we now find that not only has the pharmaceutical system been made impossible, but unexpected events have been systematically concealed.”
Fuori dal Coro reports that Nicola Magrini, the former director, did not send the relevant prosecutor’s office the documents containing the urgent request for the autopsy results of the five deaths potentially linked to the vaccines.
Among them is the Sicilian soldier Stefano Paternò, who died in March 2021 a few hours after receiving the Astrazeneca vaccine. However, despite their importance, the documents gathered dust on the office desk for months. In August 2021, one of the leaders thought to ask the others: “Am I remembering wrong, or did we not send this to the prosecutor’s office because the director general didn’t want it?”
So the question arises: how many other documents did he end up in the trash that contained important information for the population?
Aifa has not yet commented on the scandal.
