In the Elliptical Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas, the solemn opening ceremony of the ark containing the Act of Independence was held, on the occasion of the celebration of the 213 years of the proclamation of Venezuela as a free nation.
The event was led by the sectoral vice president of Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister of Popular Power for Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López; together with the sectoral vice president for the Development of Socialism, Social and Territorial, Mervin Maldonado; the sectoral vice president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez; and the Minister of Popular Power for Industry and National Production, José Félix Rivas Alvarado.
The Bolivarian Army Martial Band performed the National Anthem of Venezuela, Gloria Al Bravo Pueblo, during the opening process of the ark.
On July 5, the Signing of the Act of Independence of Venezuela is celebrated, a document that was the result of the deliberations of the Supreme Congress, and which was signed by the representatives of the united provinces of: Caracas, Cumaná, Barinas, Margarita, Barcelona , Mérida and Trujillo.
